The Runaway Princess
Confident                    Underground                     Princess
Story
Eleanor Spark lives in an underground city called Lumishire in the year of 1862. There are Victorian style buildings and everything is dimly lit and dirty from the humidity and the sand. The city was built in order to save themselves from 'the end of the world'. An event that was predicted by the witches of that time. They were told that in the future, a clever hero would rise who would bring the civilization back to the surface.
All generations that remember the surface have long since passed away. People have stopped trying to escape a long time ago. There are even some who believe the surface never existed in the first place. The new generation is content with the way things are now.
This is when our protagonist was born into the royal family. Eleanor, the 10th princess born since the surface was abandoned, was fated to marry the hero which the legends spoke about. She was raised as a gift. Deeply upset with her future, she joins hands together with Sophia, her maid and dear friend. Through talking to the people in Lumishire, and piecing together information passed down from their ancestors, the two discover that they're in for a giant puzzle much bigger than themselves.

Moodboard
Silhouettes
Since I was set on having a Victorian type world, there was little I could do but give her a pretty but torn and wet dress.
Character Sheet
What I enjoyed doing most was trying to give her an expression and face that looked confident, no matter which pose she had.
